The Red Devils have agreed personal terms with Juventus star Alex Sandro according to Duncan Castles which would be considered a breakthrough in the transfer.

The Brazilian has long been chased by Jose Mourinho if reports are to be believed and it was even said at one point that his transfer fee was too high for the club.

Other reports later claimed that the Portuguese manager was happy to hold on to Luke Shaw and show faith in him to eventually fulfil his potential.

United though are said to be chasing a proven left-back in the form of Sandro and should the personal terms truly be agreed then they’ll only have the transfer fee to negotiate.

The defender would represent the club’s fourth signing of the summer with Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant all completing their moves so far.

The figure being reported shouldn’t necessarily hold the Red Devils back considering they haven’t spent that much in comparison to previous seasons.

However, it could be that Mourinho still wants to make more signings and thus can’t afford to spend that much on Sandro.

Normal negotiations means that a transfer fee has to be agreed before personal terms can be discussed so it does seem a little bizarre what Castles has claimed.
