Musa however made history for himself by becoming the first Nigerian player to score at two different World Cups. At the 2014 Mundial in Brazil, Musa was on the score sheet, scoring twice in Nigeria’s 2-3 loss to Argentina in an encounter Lionel Messi also scored twice. The former Kano Pillars player was transferred to Premiership side, Leicester in 2016 but could not pin down a regular shirt culminating to his being loaned back to CSKA Moscow, where he had since rediscovered his form.
