Marcus Rashford has received the number 10 shirt for Manchester United's friendly against Bayern Munich. Rashford, who has returned from his post-World Cup break to start at the Allianz Arena, could be about to have his squad number bumped up for a second time by Jose Mourinho. Mourinho gave Rashford the number 19 in 2016 after the 20-year-old began his United career with the number 39 under Louis van Gaal. Van Gaal felt strikers should have the traditional centre forward number on their back but Rashford was not an out-and-out striker at academy level. Although United are yet to confirm their squad numbers for the new campaign, Rashford's switch to 10 all but confirms a change of number. Zlatan Ibrahimovic inherited Wayne Rooney's number 10 a year ago but only managed seven games with it before he moved to the LA Galaxy in March. Rooney wore the 10 for 10 years. Kelechi Chibueze has been called up to the England U16 squad for two international friendlies against Croatia this month. Chibueze is among five Chelsea starlets named on the roster by manager Kevin Betsy, the others being Levi Colwill, Samuel Iling, Jamal Musiala and Xavier Simons. The goalkeeper was in between the pipes for the Young Lions in Sunday evening's fixture at the  Branko Čavlović-Čavlek Stadium. He was selected to be in goal ahead of another player of Nigerian descent, Tottenham Hotspur's Tobi Oluwayemi. Last season, Noni Madueke (PSV), Armstrong Okoflex (Celtic) and goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu (West Ham) featured for England U16s and will be hoping to be promoted to the U17s ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup. England U16s will face Croatia in their second friendly on July 24, starting from 1930 hours local time.

Mario Mandzukic's extra-time strike completed a battling turnaround as Croatia beat England 2-1 in Moscow to reach the World Cup final for the first time in their history. England made an electric start with Kieran Trippier's early goal and for a large period of the game looked good value to book their passage to the final for the first time since 1966, but Croatia somehow battled through their apparent jadedness and tamed the Three Lions, Mandzukic landing the decisive blow.

Captain Falcao has accused referee Mark Geiger of showing bias towards England in their win over Colombia in the World Cup last 16 on Tuesday. The South American side fell behind in their knockout tie against the Three Lions through a second-half penalty and had six players booked over the 120 minutes before losing 4-3 in the shootout. Chelsea and Leeds United have agreed upon the transfer of England Under-21 star Lewis Baker. The 23 year old becomes new manager Marcelo Bielsa’s first signing since taking over at Elland Road. The former England captain has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal which will be finalised on July 10 - and has arrived in Washington ahead of a news conference on Monday. Wayne Rooney's new shirt number has been revealed – and the date he is expected to make his American debut. Everton have reached an agreement with DC United over the transfer of Rooney who will officially join the Major League Soccer outfit on July 10. DC United have earmarked the 32-year-old making his bow four days later at the club's new Audi Field stadium against Vancouver Whitecaps. And Rooney , who has signed a three-and-a-half year deal, has been given the No9 shirt. Rooney will become the team's Designated Player and his move will be rubber stamped next month and upon the receipt of an International Transfer Certificate. Harvey Neville Joins United Harvey follows dad Phil - the England women's manager - and uncle Gary after signing on his 16th birthday. The Neville brothers made a combined 664 league appearances for the Old Trafford side. "I am very proud and excited to have signed for the club I have supported my whole life," Harvey wrote on Instagram. In his own Instagram post, dad Phil said: "Proud of you Harvey.
